DENTAL TRAUMA

An accident in the mouth can cause trauma to the pulp of one or more teeth. Particularly in children whose permanent teeth have not fully developed their roots, a wound-hammering trauma can lead to the prevention of normal tooth growth.

By special techniques (apexification, revascularization) we can maintain the growth of the root and save the tooth with endodontic treatment.

In adults, a trauma can lead to breakage, movement up to total incision (to come out completely from the surrounding bone) of the tooth. These teeth can be saved with proper and specialized care.
