PERIODONTAL POCKET REDUCTION
Smaller pockets healthier gums
Periodontal pocket reduction is the most applied surgery. It is a painless procedure since it is performed under local anesthesia in which the gums are detached from the surface of the teeth and a thorough root planing and scaling is performed while at the same time favorable anatomical conditions for the effective appliance of oral hygiene are created by applying osteoplasty or osteoctomy.
Sutures are placed and they are removed one week after the surgery.
Post-operative instructions are given to the patient and regular evaluations are performed to ensure long-term therapeutic outcome.
